CaVCA exists to help people and places to thrive – focused on our communities along the North Yorkshire Coast and rural hinterland, we seek to work closely with local people, learning and working together to enable positive change for people and communities. By helping people to feel more engaged with and connected to the places around them, we can increase opportunities and improve lives. We work in collaboration with the people around us who make up our communities, whatever their place, purpose and background. Our work is open to all, by bringing together people with lived experiences from all backgrounds we can build collective understanding and kinder, more forgiving, communities. We seek to build alliances across all sectors and between different communities, focusing on what we have in common and valuing everyone’s contributions.
CaVCA provides high quality managed workspace, community facilities, social action support and from time to time, discrete community projects. We work in collaboration, building close and trusted relationships, and encourage the sharing of power.
