OUR BACK GARDEN

Tucked away behind The Street, our back garden is a tranquil green space where people & nature can flourish and where food is grown for the benefit of the community.

There are raised beds/mini allotments, a beehive, fruit trees, a sensory border and beds full of all manner of plants & wildlife. The tranquillity is broken occasionally by community picnics and other social events but most of the time the garden is just somewhere for people to enjoy and learn about the pleasure of gardening or simply just being in a garden.

The garden is currently taken care of by a small band of dedicated volunteers under the guidance of GROW Scarborough >> and organised gardening sessions take place on Thursday and Saturday mornings. There is always something to do and the conversations and teas and coffees flow endlessly.

If you would like to lend a hand, whether you are an experienced gardener or just want to learn, contact GROW Scarborough or David Stone at or simply turn up. You are guaranteed a warm welcome.
