Street Rocks Journey To the Moonboard

A few months ago a few of our climbers were talking about how great it would be for us to have a Moonboard – a technical training board focusing on strength and technique mainly for outdoor climbing.  We’d done a sponsored 24 hour Climbathon before, when we were trying to raise funds for Street Rocks, so we thought we’d try again – lets try and raise £10k to buy a Moonboard for Street Rocks. So on the Weekend of 25/26 October 2025 20 intrepid climbers set out to....

Back Alley, Big Impact: Scarborough Neighbours Unite

Back Alley, Big Impact: Scarborough Neighbours Unite What started as a simple clean up turned into something much more. Residents of Scarborough came together to transform their shared back alley and in just a couple of hours, more progress was made than anyone expected. Overgrown weeds were cleared, rubbish removed, and forgotten corners brought back to life. But perhaps the most powerful change was the sense of community, neighbours who had never met before shared stories, laughter, and a renewed sense of pride in their shared space. A....

The Street Climbers are at it again!  Through the power of our climbing community we’ve successfully created Street Rocks at The Street, and it’s been an awesome journey.  Following our initial campaign to raise the profile of climbing, to our 24 hour sponsored climbathon in 2023, to persuading CaVCA’s trustees to support the project and to our opening in January of this year, its been incredible. Street Rocks is bringing climbing to the people of Scarborough and we’ve been delighted to see so many people take up the....
