From 2020 to 2021 we were a community partner in North Yorkshire County Council’s Grow and Learn pilot scheme, working with nurseries, schools and libraries in Whitby, Scarborough and Ryedale to help children become school ready, with a particular focus on speech and language. We also helped new groups for pre-school children and their parents and carers become established within their communities, offering advice on funding and the mechanics of setting up a community group, as well as helping them design their sessions.
